Meet Our Office Insurance Ninja – Most Varicose Vein Treatments Are Covered by Insurance

Carol Sada • 28 September 2023

Yes, most varicose vein treatments are covered by insurance! At One Vein Clinic, we get to know our patients very well. Our office atmosphere is more like a family than a doctor’s office. We have found that we learn important things about our patients when we get to know them as people. One of the things we’ve learned from listening to our patients’ stories is that many people don’t know that most varicose vein treatments are covered by insurance.

Most Varicose Vein Treatments Are Covered by Insurance

This is a shame because we see patients who have suffered for years but didn’t realize that insurance would cover their treatments. You don’t have to suffer with the pain or embarrassment of varicose veins. At One Vein Clinic, we provide the best treatments and the best help with insurance coverage.

We Help You with Insurance Claims and Paperwork

Maria, our Front Office Manager, is used to dealing with the hassles and red tape involved with insurance coverage for varicose vein treatments. She will work with you and coordinate with your insurance company to verify that they have all of the information they need to make sure your varicose vein treatments are covered by insurance. She’s fantastic and she will make the process as pain-free as possible. “It’s aggravating sometimes, but I know the ins and outs and can make it much less aggravating for our patients. Sometimes I’m on the phone with Medicare for 20 minutes before I even get to talk to anyone. I’m used to it. I will make it happen!” Maria said. Because of her tenacity with the insurance companies, she has earned the office nickname “Insurance Ninja”.

How Do You Know If Your Varicose Vein Treatments Are Covered by Insurance?

All you have to do is make an appointment to come in and see Dr. Farha. He will evaluate your legs and your veins and tell you if you qualify from a medical standpoint. If you do, then all we have to do is contact your insurance provider to verify coverage and you’re on your way to healthier, happier legs. If you are covered, we’ll book an appointment and get your treatments started. If you would like treatments, but don’t have insurance, we can help there too. We offer a range of financing options include CareCredit, HELP card*, and HSA or FSA accounts. We have a payment plan to make it easier to fit into your budget.

One Vein Clinic Accepted Insurance Providers

Here is a list of insurance providers we accept for vein treatment. If you see your provider, give us a call and let’s get your veins taken care of. If you don’t see your insurance company’s name, call us anyway and see if one of our other financing options might work for you:

  • Aetna
  • AvMed
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • CarePlus
  • Cigna
  • Humana
  • Florida Healthcare Plan
  • Sunshine
  • Tricare
  • United Healthcare
  • Wellcare

Don’t Forget about the Deductible

Another area that can be frustrating is the insurance deductible. Yes, most varicose vein treatments are covered by insurance, but don’t forget they will charge you a deductible. We wish we could make it completely free for you, but we cannot change the insurance company policies. We just don’t want you to be surprised, disappointed, or angry when your insurance company sends you a bill for your deductible amount. We help patients figure out what that amount is, so they can plan for it. Whatever you do, don’t let it keep you from getting your legs treated and getting back to a pain-free and active lifestyle.

Book an Evaluation

Sometimes the hardest part of making a change is taking the first small step. Call us to book an evaluation. Dr. Farha will then examine your legs and, if you qualify medically for varicose vein treatment, he’ll let you know your treatment options. We’d love to take care of you and your varicose veins. Please don’t hesitate to call us.

If you are tired of suffering with the pain of varicose veins, let the One Vein Clinic team help you find the best treatment so you can say goodbye to varicose veins. It’s the people at One Vein Clinic who are truly behind our success. We are not your typical doctor’s office and that’s on purpose. We want our patients to feel relaxed, comfortable, and at ease, so we treat them like family. Our staff creates a warm, welcoming, and fun environment. Our ultimate goal is to have you miss going to your appointments once your treatments are over! While that may seem like a lofty goal for someone in the healthcare field, it is, nevertheless, what we strive to achieve. With that in mind, we’d like to introduce you to someone you will meet when you come in for vein treatment – Brenda, our Vascular Ultrasound Specialist.

At One Vein Clinic, we strive to create a warm and friendly office environment. We know that coming in for varicose vein treatment can be a little stressful for some patients. Let’s face it, going to the doctor – any doctor is not something we look forward to. But when you come to One Vein Clinic, you’ll find that we’re not like all the other vein clinics. We do our best to make you feel welcome and at ease.

Nobody likes to wait. At One Vein Clinic, we do our best to respect your time. One of the main ways we do that is with our booking schedule. We don’t like to keep our patients waiting. So we book the schedule accordingly. Our patients come in for vein treatments and are generally seen within 15 minutes of their appointment time at the very most. We keep a close eye on the scheduling so that we can ensure that we give each person the appropriate amount of time for their procedure while ensuring Dr. Farha doesn’t get too backed up. We don’t overbook the schedule because we know that no one likes waiting.

If you’ve been living with the pain and embarrassment of varicose veins, but you’re afraid of painful vein-stripping surgery, ClosureFast™ may be exactly the treatment you’re looking for. ClosureFast™ treatment for varicose veins is a minimally invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy (heat) to close problematic varicose veins. With this procedure, a catheter delivers consistent and uniform heat which causes the collagen in the vein walls to collapse and the vein closes.

No general anesthesia, sedation, or incisions are required. The procedure usually takes less than one hour and there’s no downtime afterward. You can get right back to whatever you had planned that day. Learn more about Varithena and feel free to call us to ask any questions you may have after reading this blog article.

Varicose veins are prevalent, affecting 1 in 4 adults. However, this doesn’t mean you have to accept their impact on your appearance. These pesky veins stand out as bulging, twisted, discolored veins most often appearing on the legs. Varicose veins can shake your confidence in your appearance. Fortunately, sclerotherapy is an effective treatment. See why sclerotherapy in winter months is an even better idea.
